From 3rd – 5th July 2012, we hosted a group of medical students from DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School as part of their clinical training. These students were attached to all our senior physicians and sat in to observe TCM consultation. It was a fruitful attachment for the students with much sharing & learning with our medical team.

16TH – 20TH JULY 2012 BAO ZHONG TANG HOSTED THE NURSING DIRECTORS DELEGATION FROM 13 MUNICIPAL SHANGHAI HOSPITALS FOR NURSING MANAGEMENT TRAINING AT SINGAPORE GENERAL HOSPITAL
Bao Zhong Tang TCM Centre is honoured to host the nursing directors delegations from 13 different municipal Shanghai Hospitals during their nursing management training from 16-20th July 2012.
The hospitals include: Shanghai Huadong Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Shanghai, Longhua Hospital, Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Health Hospital, Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Dermatological Disease Hospital, Shanghai Stomatological Disease Center, Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, Shanghai Eye Disease Prevention & Treatment Center, Xin Hua Hospital.

ACUPRESSURE HEAD SPA SERVICE
In year 2011, Bao Zhong Tang was invited by Matrix, the professional brand under the L’oreal Group, in a joint collaboration to develop the new Acupressure Head Spa service, which is designed to combine professional massage services based on the Meridian theory and Matrix professional products, thus, providing lasting relaxing effects on the hair and scalp.
Professional hairstylists were trained by Bao Zhong Tang’s Senior Consultant, Qin Xiu Di, over a total of 3 sessions in which practical skills and knowledge of TCM massage techniques and specific acupuncture points were imparted. To ensure that customers’ receive the best effects out of the Acupressure Head Spa Service, only hairstylists who passed the exams were certified to provide the service.
STRATEGIC AGREEMENT OF CO-OPERATION WITH LEI YUN SHANG
On 13th April 2011, Bao Zhong Tang reached another milestone by signing an Agreement of Strategic Cooperation with Shanghai LeiYunShang Pharmaceutical Company – a leading brand boasting more than 300 years of history in the Chinese herbal medicine industry in China, where their products are renowned for their high quality and safety. With GMP-certified herb processing establishments under its belt, LeiYunShang serves as one of the 3 indispensable pillars of Bao Zhong Tang 3G TCM Service. This symbolic ceremony further exemplifies Bao Zhong Tang’s commitment to provide premium TCM service for our valued customers and deliver safe and quality-assured Chinese herbs and medicinal products in Singapore.
Bao Zhong Tang has since its inception, been actively engaged in collaborative projects in embarking on joint researches into TCM. Some of the key milestones include:
ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT OF CO-OPERATION SIGNING CEREMONY
On 31st March 2008, Singapore Health Services Group and Shanghai Hospital Development Centre signed an agreement to collaborate to facilitate research in the area of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including the sharing of clinical and medical knowledge and know-how between the two parties, with Bao Zhong Tang serving as the common platform for TCM clinical research. The signing ceremony was graced by Ms Yong Ying-I, Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Health, Singapore.
SHDC and Singhealth signed the clinical research memorandum of cooperation.

JOINT CLINICAL RESEARCH PROJECT ON HAEMATOLOGICAL DISEASES
Undertaking the mission to advocate Synergy Medicine, Bao Zhong Tang is actively involved in joint clinical research projects with SGH. Our latest collaboration with SGH’s Department of Hematology studies the safety, efficacy and impact on quality of life of TCM in patients with refractory cytopenia(s) due to primary hematological disorders. The results to date, suggest a potential role of TCM in therapeutic and patient care to enhance quality of life.
