CHEN JIA YI

Ms Chen Jia Yi graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in medical science and has dedicated over 30 years to clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). During the 1990s, she served in the Departments of TCM Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Dermatology at Shanghai Longhua Hospital. Her areas of expertise include dermatology, oncology, gynaecology, assisted reproductive treatment, internal medicine, and autoimmunity. She has amassed considerable experience in treating various diseases and managing pain, among other conditions.

She also specialises in Cancer treatment which integrates traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine to enhance the quality of life for cancer patients, mitigate the toxic and side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, extend their survival, prevent tumour recurrence and metastasis, as well as facilitate recovery.

Another of Ms Chen Jia Yi’s speciality is TCM for fertility. Traditional Chinese medicine can assist IVF treatment by utilising traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture to improve ovarian reserve function and endometrial receptivity, increases the success rate of artificial insemination, and slow down the side effects of the ovulation promotion process. KEAN CHAN

Consultant Physician

Physician Kean Chan graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with BMed. He was trained at the triple-A grade Dongzhimen Hospital in Beijing. After graduation he went on for postgraduate training at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine’s Acupuncture and Rehabilitative Medical Centre.

He provides TCM post cancer care, TCM internal medicine, dermatology and acupuncture treatments. His special interest is using TCM for post cancer care on common types of cancers in Singapore (e.g., cancers of the breasts, lungs, colon, lymphoid, uterine, etc.) TCM treatments include oncology therapy side effects such as vomiting, anaemia, weakness, diarrhoea, hair loss,  skin infections, etc. Helping patients to improve late-stage cancer symptoms of appetite loss, constipation, pain, bloating, swelling, cough, etc through TCM. He also uses traditional acupuncture techniques to treat common ailments such as frozen shoulder, sciatica, spondylosis, tinnitus, fatigue, urinary incontinence, menstrual cramps, post-stroke paralysis, speech impairment, or pain with no determinable causes.

He advocates complimenting TCM with patients’ western medical treatments to achieve optimal outcomes.  Professionally matching Chinese medicinal herbal pharmacological properties with patients’ conditions, and firmly believe in using freshly brewed high quality Chinese herbal medications with the TCM theory of “future diseases prevention” to improve wellness.

He previously practiced at Singapore’s most trusted chain of TCM and integrative health clinics, successfully provided personalized treatment to both local and foreign patients for acute and chronic health conditions. Earlier on, he mastered skills in treating common local ailments through the thousands of patients he treated during his tenure at Singapore’s oldest TCM charity clinic.
