Cupping

Cupping is a form of TCM therapy whereby special cups (usually plastic or glass cups) are placed on targeted meridian points on your skin to create suction. This is done to achieve the objectives of regulating qi, rejuvenating meridians, clearing blockages, improving blood flow, relieving pain and treating the body’s imbalances.

Cupping treatment usually lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes and it is common for the body to sport round, distinctive marks after the treatment. These marks are temporary and will fade within a few days.

Cupping is suitable for most people in general except for those who are physically weak or have the following conditions: diabetes, pregnant, high blood pressure etc. Always check with your physician on your suitability for cupping treatment before going for it.
