QUECK KWANG JIE

Consultant Physician

Member of Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine Singapore
Member of Singapore Chinese Medical Union

When Queck Kwang Jie fell ill as a child, his family took him to a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) practitioner who prescribed Chinese medicine. Although the Chinese herbs tasted bitter rather than sweet, they quickly soothed his discomfort. The practitioner took his pulse and prescribed medication tailored to his individual constitution. The Chinese herbs were effective, and his illness was cured. This intrigued him, and he developed an inexplicably strong curiosity about Chinese medicine and a deep admiration for the life- saving work of Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, aspiring to become one when he grew up.

Driven by a passion for Chinese culture and a special interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine, physician Queck Kwang Jie enrolled at the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009 and received his bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 2014, embarking on his journey into medical practice. Physician Queck previously worked at Chien Chi Tow Healthcare Pte Ltd and later served as a senior physician at Kin Teck Tong Modern TCM Clinic. He has been practicing TCM for 11 years and has treated tens of thousands of patients. He communicates with patients in English, Mandarin, and Malay, earning him the respect of both patients and staff.

Physician Queck Kwang Jie specialises in TCM Orthopedic and pain management, combining acupuncture and medication. His gentle, effective techniques can help patients relieve muscle tension and promote blood circulation. He also focuses on detail in his treatments:

  • Spinal and pelvic conditions (cervical spondylosis, third lumbar transverse process syndrome, sacroiliac joint disorder, etc.).
  • Perivertebral soft tissue lesions (stiff neck, myofasciitis of the neck and back, superior gluteal nerve injury, etc.).
  • Soft tissue injuries of the limbs (subacromial bursitis, lateral epicondylitis, ankle sprains, etc.).

Physician Queck Kwang Jie also specialises in internal medicine treatment using Chinese Medicine. Based on syndrome differentiation and treatment, he uses various Chinese herbal formulas tailored to the patient’s specific condition to regulate the body’s yin and yang, qi and blood, and organ function, effectively treating illnesses and improving the health of children, adults, and the elderly. Physician Queck Kwang Jie specialises to use Chinese medicine to treat and improve the condition of:

  • Digestive disorders (acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation).
  • Respiratory disorders (cough, asthma).
  • ENT disorders (allergic rhinitis, dry eyes, ophthalmos).
  • Insomnia, edema, and influenza.
